christmas 2009

christmas was so much fun this year! kennedy wasn't quite old enough to understand santa, but she loved the kitchen and other toys he brought her. even though cousins kamry and laney were at their other grandmas we still got to see them lots.

i would definitely say that my favorite part about the holidays is the time i get to spend with my family relaxing and eating grandma jayne's yummy food!

i'm not sure if i was really good this year or if santa was really bad, but i got some really nice gifts. i usually always know what i'm getting but this year everything was a complete surprise. one gift that completely surprised me was the little blue box i found under the tree!!

am i really back?

thanks for being patient with me! my life has been a little hectic lately, but i'm officially back at it. i think....

somebody's turning one

i can't believe it's really been a whole year! this little angel and brought so much to our lives...a little crazy and a lot of fun!

kennedy jayne is the happiest, giggliest little girl. there's nothing better than hearing her funny little laugh!

kennedy is totally in love with her daddy! it's the cutest thing every!

she's also a lot of help lately. she helps empty the trash, unloads the dishwasher and doubles as a vacuum cleaner!

sorry! i couldn't pick a favorite!

8 days, 6 cities and 30 plus hours of flying

so i've always wanted to go to japan. well my wish came true! i would have never guessed that in a little over one week i would get to cover japan from top to bottom! two weeks ago I was headed to japan to visit 6 different cities: Tokyo, Sapporo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Okinawa. the reason, to promote our newbrite laundry system--12 times! exciting? sure!

Fukuoka
Tokyo
Sapporo--it gets tricky when you need to pack for both winter and tropical climates! Okinawa--beautiful!Osaka or maybe Nagoya? really it all looked the same! all in all it was a great trip and huge learning experience. the hardest part was being away from mike and baby k!

expo west

as part of my job i have to find new product concept to introduce to our market. so every year we head off to expo west in california to see where the trends are going. this entitles visiting thousands of booths with crazy products/foods you get to try. trust me this can be both good and bad.

this year i bellied up to the oxygen bar, gave a little love to moss man, and made my very own custom flavored burt's bee's chap stick. the highlight this year was the fashion show hosted by think products. after hours of waiting in line we got front row seats to an awesome show!!

girls weekend

we've made it tradition that the girls of la mirage get together once a year to catch up, gossip...and shop! this year we met in lehi utah for three days, two nights of shear bliss! we spent the majority of our time in park city shopping and eating. we had so much fun this year i think we'll meet up again in the summer...we might even bring our kids!

thanks girls for the great weekend, love you all and can't wait to see you again! SOON!

i'm really going to do it!

so lots has gone on this past month or so, so i'm really going to do it....i'm going to post!

true touch

if any of you are familiar with our true touch brand at neways, i am the finger on our marketing materials. today i did a small shoot with my wonderful newly manicured nails. my hands are going to be showing off our new nail colors this year in japan. the best part...i got out of doing dishes for the night!
i should clarify...that's my hand in front of the model on the top, and they'll be yanking my fingers out of the second pic and putting them in front of a lovely model.

all in one month

we have had so much progress at our house in the past few weeks. we have learned to sit up, crawl, patty cake and make really big messes. not to mention she's growing into quite the little personality. kennedy is becoming so much fun!

i love this picture! first of all it's the only picture i think vaguely resembles me. second it shows you just what a little monkey kennedy is. she's always getting herself stuck somewhere.

bring it on 2009

as always we celebrated new years eve at torre's. this year was a little quieter than usuall, but still just as fun. as you can see we had a feast of yummy food! we all sucked it up on rock band. kamry is the only one who can really play the game and she was out of town with her grandparents. to top it off we finished off the night with dog the bounty hunter. all in all we had a good night, thanks torre!

christmas 2008

kennedy's first christmas was a success! she even loved santa! torre found the girls cute matching pj's at costco. we let them wear them a few weeks before christmas when i went up to stay with them. but she didn't stop there... torre found matching pj's for the entire family.
don't we look lovely in the morning? the guys were such good sports!!! they look so manly being all matchy-matchy!
on christmas eve the guys took the oldest kids out sledding. it resulted in one badly broken leg. poor colly dolly spent christmas in the rocking chair!

our little family

thanksgiving

we spent thanksgiving at my parents house as we usually do. this year we were all able to sit at one table! that hasn't happened in years! we celebrated with grandma, uncle steven, uncle ross and torre and her family. as always my mom does a fantastic job with all of the food...my dad, he needed a little help! we usually have both a smoked turkey and a regularly cooked turkey. our neighbor clyde lay always does the smoked turkey. with him on his mission at the time my dad decided to take on smoking the neighborhood turkeys. well, lets just say the smoker consumed all 6 turkeys for thanksgiving! kennedy enjoyed her first thanksgiving dinner. she loved grandmas sweet potatoe soufflé and her yummy mashed potatoes!
